Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SEO & AI Search Optimization Specialist to join our team on a remote contract basis.
This role is focused on ranking local service businesses in the United States through a combination of traditional SEO, Local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, and modern AI Search Optimization strategies.
The ideal candidate should be capable of improving rankings not only in Google Search but also within AI generated search experiences and conversational search platforms.
Responsibilities
- Execute complete On Page and Off Page SEO strategies for WordPress websites
- Optimize and maintain Google Business Profiles for local service businesses
- Improve Local SEO rankings for US based service companies
- Perform technical SEO audits and implement fixes
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
- Build high quality backlinks and authority signals
- Implement internal linking strategies and content optimization
- Optimize metadata, schema markup, images, and page structure
- Monitor rankings, indexing, crawl issues, and Core Web Vitals
- Improve visibility across Google AI Overviews and emerging AI search experiences
- Contribute towards AI Search Optimization (AISO), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and Answer Engine Optimization strategies
- Track rankings and prepare performance reports
- Collaborate with content writers, developers, and marketing teams to improve overall search visibility
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of SEO experience
- Strong experience with Local SEO for service based businesses
- Strong experience optimizing Google Business Profiles
- Experience with WordPress SEO
- Understanding of Technical SEO
- Knowledge of On Page and Off Page SEO
- Understanding of AI Search Optimization concepts
- Experience with Schema Markup
- Experience with local Citations and Link Building

Working Hours
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Equivalent to approximately 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST
One hour break included.
Candidates are expected to remain available throughout the scheduled shift.
Compensation
₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month
Compensation will depend upon experience, skills, portfolio, and interview performance.
Contract Duration
June/July 2026 through December 2026
High performing candidates may be offered a contract extension or long term opportunity based on performance and business requirements.
Important
This role is specifically for candidates with experience working on Local SEO for service based businesses.
Candidates whose experience is limited primarily to product or eCommerce SEO may not be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants with proven experience improving rankings for local businesses in the United States and familiarity with AI driven search optimization.
