Role description
We are hiring a dynamic Technical Sales Director to lead business development and revenue growth for our AWS Cloud Business practice. This senior leadership role requires a unique blend of technical acumen and sales expertise to drive cloud transformation engagements with enterprise clients. You will be the primary advocate for our cloud capabilities, identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships with C-level executives, and crafting compelling value propositions that address complex business challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling cloud professional services and managed services, specifically within the AWS ecosystem. You will work closely with solution architects and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and commercially viable. Your mission will be to expand our market footprint, manage key partner relationships with AWS, and close high-value deals that accelerate our customers' digital transformation journeys.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles for AWS cloud consulting and implementation services, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the cloud infrastructure and data analytics space.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating technical cloud capabilities into tangible business outcomes and ROI.
- Lead technical pre-sales activities, including solution discovery, proposal development, and high-impact presentations to executive stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with AWS partner managers and field sales teams to drive joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal delivery and solution architecture teams to scope complex projects and ensure feasibility.
- Understand the competitive landscape and position our offerings effectively against other cloud service providers and consulting firms.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms, ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
- 10-15 years of experience in technology sales, with a strong focus on Cloud Services and Professional Services sales.
- Demonstrated success in selling AWS cloud solutions (migration, modernization, data & analytics) to enterprise customers.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives (CIO, CTO, CDO).
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and large-deal negotiations ($1M+ TCV).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical value propositions clearly.
- Self-motivated, remote-ready leader with a results-oriented mindset.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Experience selling Azure or Multi-cloud solutions (Open to learning AWS if primarily Azure background).
- Background in solution architecture or technical consulting prior to moving into sales.
- Experience with OEM partnerships and cloud ecosystem selling.
