We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior SDET Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in automation testing to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and test automation frameworks, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable quality engineering solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through robust automated testing practices. You will play a key role in designing automation strategies, improving test coverage, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation test frameworks using Java and Selenium.
Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to ensure quality is embedded from the start.
Continuously enhance automation frameworks for improved performance, maintainability, and reliability.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable releases.
Perform regression, smoke, functional, and integration testing using automated solutions.
Analyze test execution results and provide actionable reports and recommendations.
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality engineering best practices across the team.

Must-Have Skills

4–7 years of hands-on experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
Strong proficiency in Java programming.
Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation testing.
Solid understanding of automation testing principles, test design techniques, and framework development.
Experience creating reusable test scripts and maintaining automation suites.
Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with API testing and REST services.
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Understanding of performance and cross-browser testing concepts.
Experience working with SQL databases and writing basic queries.
Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms is an added advantage.
