The JLL Digital Products team aims to bring successful technology-based products to market in a high-growth environment. The team’s mission is focused on accelerating technology adoption in commercial real estate by bringing creative, innovative and technical solutions to solve large, complex problems for our clients. We are seeking an AI Engineer – 2 to join our growing AI and digital innovation team. This role combines technical AI implementation with production support responsibilities, ensuring our AI solutions operate reliably while contributing to enhancement and optimization initiatives. You'll work with modern AI technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in maintaining and improving AI-powered applications that drive business value.
Responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role. As an AI Engineer 2, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring our AI solutions deliver consistent value while driving continuous improvement. Your dual focus on AI implementation and production support will be critical to maintaining system reliability and advancing our AI capabilities.
AI Implementation & Development
- Implement and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions based on defined requirements
- Fine-tune and optimize existing models for improved accuracy, efficiency, and performance
- Develop and maintain data preprocessing pipelines and feature engineering workflows
- Integrate AI services with existing enterprise applications and platforms
- Conduct testing and validation of AI models before production deployment
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control and deployment
AI Solution Support & Maintenance
- Provide Level 3 technical support for AI applications and services in production environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model performance, data pipelines, API integrations, and deployment infrastructure
- Monitor AI system health, performance metrics, and data quality to ensure optimal operation
- Respond to incident tickets, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with data. Platform, AI engineering team to escalate and solve complex issue
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of support procedures, troubleshooting guides, and known issues
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements
- Contribute to the enhancement of AI platforms and tools used across the product
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to current implementations
- Document technical specifications, implementation details, and operational procedures
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
3-5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or related technical roles
Proven experience in production support or technical troubleshooting roles
Experience working with ticketing systems and incident management processes
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments managing multiple priorities
Technical Skills & Competencies
Core AI Skills
Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI agent and tool integration
Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar)
Strong understanding of AI agent architectures, tool calling, and context management
Experience with natural language processing (NLP), conversational AI, and chatbot development
Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns and implementation
Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search technologies
Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and AI model evaluation methodologies
Experience integrating AI systems with enterprise data sources and APIs
Support & Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose AI system issues including model degradation, latency problems, and integration failures
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for AI.
- Understanding of AI system security, governance, and responsible AI practices
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
