We are seeking a highly disciplined, technically astute Production Manager to oversee daily shop-floor operations at our Ahmedabad manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be entirely responsible for delivering high-performance thermal management products, including liquid cold plates, heatsinks, copper busbars, and air-cooled heatsinks.
Your primary focus will be optimizing production throughput, enforcing zero-defect quality standards, reducing material wastage, and leading a skilled team of operators and technicians.
Core Responsibilities
- Shop Floor Execution: Plan, schedule, and execute daily production shifts to meet delivery timelines,
- Timely delivery: You will be responsible for meeting our monthly product delivery timelines.
- Process Oversight: Oversee precision manufacturing processes specific to thermal solutions, including:
- CNC Machining & Milling of aluminum and copper plates.
- Tubing & Bending (embedding copper/stainless steel tubes into aluminum bases).
- Joining & Bonding Technologies (vacuum brazing, friction stir welding, or epoxy bonding for bonded fin heatsinks).
- Surface Finishing (anodizing, nickel plating, or chromate conversion).
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Implement and enforce rigorous testing protocols. Because our products handle liquid cooling for power electronics, you will personally ensure 100% compliance with pressure testing, helium leak detection, and thermal performance validation.
- Wastage & Cost Control: Track raw material yields (especially high-value copper and aluminum). Implement lean manufacturing practices to systematically lower per-unit manufacturing costs and scrap rates.
- Machinery Maintenance: Establish and monitor strict preventive maintenance schedules for VMC machines, lathe machines, bending tools, and testing rigs to ensure zero unplanned downtime.
- Labor & Safety Management: Supervise, train, and maintain discipline among operators and contractual laborers. Ensure strict adherence to factory safety protocols and industrial standards.
Relevant Experience & Technical Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of hands-on shop-floor experience in a precision metal fabrication, fabrication of heat exchangers, radiators, auto-components, or thermal management systems facility.
- Specific Process Expertise (Mandatory):
- Deep understanding of machining tolerances for aluminum and copper.
- Direct exposure to brazing, welding, or tube-assembly methodologies.
- Familiarity with pneumatic or hydraulic pressure testing setups.
- Scale Familiarity: Proven track record of working in an MSME or mid-sized industrial setup, ideally managing operations with an annual turnover of ₹5–15 Crores.
- Language & Leadership: Fluent in Gujarati and Hindi to communicate effectively with the local workforce, with professional English skills for updating management and reading engineering blueprints.

Your performance and annual variable bonuses will be directly linked to:
- Production Target Achievement (OTD): Meeting weekly and monthly shipment commitments.
- Defect Rate / Rejection Percentage: Keeping internal production rejections and customer returns under 1%.
- Material Yield Optimization: Reducing copper/aluminum scrap and machining waste.
Pay: ₹30,312.45 - ₹45,106.51 per month
