Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor for the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to academic and institutional development through teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate BCA courses such as Programming Languages, Data Structures, Database Management Systems, Web Technologies, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, and Computer Networks.
- Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with the university syllabus.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and guide students in practical and project-based learning.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, presentations, and projects.
- Mentor and guide students for academic growth, internships, projects, and career development.
- Participate in curriculum development, syllabus revision, and academic planning.
- Engage in research, publications, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs.
- Perform academic and administrative duties assigned by the department or institution.
- Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional activities.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) / Computer Science / Information Technology or a related field with at least 55% marks (or as per UGC/University norms).
- NET / SET / Ph.D. preferred (as per regulatory requirements).
- Experience:
- Freshers may apply.
- Teaching experience in a college/university will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and current technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with DBMS, Web Development, Data Structures, and Software Engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate undergraduate students.
- Basic research and academic writing skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools, LMS, and online teaching platforms.
