We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, API testing, quality engineering, and CI/CD practices, with a focus on building scalable and reliable testing solutions for enterprise-grade SaaS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Automate Web UI testing using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
- Develop, execute, and maintain API automation test suites using Postman, Rest Assured, PyTest, or equivalent frameworks.
- Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and testing components to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test design reviews, and quality engineering initiatives.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and smoke test scenarios.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects while working closely with development teams for resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure test automation best practices, coding standards, and quality processes are followed across projects.
- Contribute to release readiness activities and support production deployments when required.
Mandatory Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong expertise in Playwright and/or Selenium automation frameworks.
- Proven experience in API Automation Testing.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
