About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Tester Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing by working on real-world applications used globally.
As a Software Tester Intern, you will collaborate with experienced QA engineers and developers to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You'll also have the opportunity to learn both manual and automation testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases based on functional requirements.
- Perform manual testing on desktop, web, and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and the QA team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, team meetings, and testing discussions.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and reports.
- Suggest improvements to testing processes and quality standards.
- Work on multiple testing assignments while meeting project deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest software testing tools, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing final year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance concepts.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Manual Testing. Exposure to Automation Testing is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a Manual Testing or Automation Testing certification/course.
- Basic knowledge of Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing tools is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of SQL and software debugging concepts is desirable.
