● Schedule and attend site audits, facilitate third-party evaluations, and support evaluator visits.
2. Site Visits & Field Coordination
● Travel across India to project sites for site assessment, data collection, and construction-stage compliance verification.
● Conduct walkthroughs to assess green measures: passive design features, material usage, construction waste practices, and water management systems.
● Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to ensure on-site implementation aligns with GRIHA-committed designs.
● Capture and document photographic evidence, site measurements, and commissioning reports.
3. Sun Path & Daylight Analysis
● Perform sun path analysis using tools such as Autodesk Revit, SketchUp + Shading Analysis, Rhino/Grasshopper, or Ecotect to evaluate solar exposure and shading strategies.
● Assess building orientation, overhang sizing, and fenestration design for optimal daylight and solar heat gain control.
● Prepare daylight factor simulations (using DIALux, VELUX Daylight Visualizer, or equivalent) for GRIHA daylighting criteria.
● Provide design recommendations to achieve GRIHA criterion compliance for visual comfort and passive solar design.
4. Energy Simulation & Performance Analysis
● Conduct building energy simulations using EnergyPlus, eQUEST, DesignBuilder, or IDA ICE to model baseline and proposed energy performance.

5. Water Consumption Analysis & Management
● Calculate water demand (indoor + outdoor + process) using occupancy-based and fixture-efficiency methodologies.
● Model water balance including rainwater harvesting potential, greywater recycling, and sewage treatment plant (STP) outputs.
● Prepare water efficiency compliance reports for GRIHA water criteria, including fixture specifications and flow-rate documentation.
● Coordinate with MEP consultants on plumbing layouts, rainwater harvesting tank sizing, and water metering strategies.
6. Solid Waste Management Planning
● Develop and document Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) for construction and operational phases aligned with GRIHA norms.
● Estimate construction waste generation and define diversion targets (recycling, reuse, responsible disposal).
● Plan for operational waste streams: dry waste, wet/organic waste, e-waste, and hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with Solid Waste Management Rules 2016.
● Coordinate with contractors for waste tracking, weighment records, and disposal vendor tie-ups.
● Support composting facility design or OWC (Organic Waste Converter) integration for food/green waste.
7. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
● Prepare monthly GRIHA progress reports for internal management and client updates.
● Conduct workshops and training sessions for project teams on GRIHA criteria, green building practices, and simulation tools.
● Liaise with GRIHA Council, evaluators, and certification bodies for technical clarifications.
● Support business development by contributing technical inputs to project proposals and presentations.
