The Sr. Software Engineer I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. This role contributes to end-to-end product delivery, collaborates across teams, and ensures high-quality engineering practices across the development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and debug applications and software components aligned to business requirements
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define and refine technical solutions
Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical designs
Contribute to full lifecycle delivery including design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Ensure code quality through best practices, documentation, and adherence to standards
Support operational excellence by deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production systems
Participate in code reviews and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices
Contribute to evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiency
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team
Take ownership of assigned features/components from development through production support
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of software development experience (aligned to Sr. Engineer I level; inferred from capability band positioning)
Hands-on experience with modern software development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps exposure)
Experience with application design, development, testing, and debugging
Experience working with APIs, microservices, and web-based applications
Solid proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar)
Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools
Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
Exposure to domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with modern UI frameworks or full-stack development
