About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Talend Developer / Data Integration Developer to join our growing Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Talend Data Integration, Talend Data Catalog, Talend Data Lineage, and Talend ESB, along with a solid understanding of enterprise data integration, metadata management, data governance, and data lineage.
In this role, you will design, develop, and support scalable ETL/ELT solutions, implement enterprise integrations, and contribute to data governance initiatives across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesETL & Data Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT jobs using Talend Data Integration.
- Extract, transform, and load data from databases, APIs, flat files, and enterprise applications.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines to ensure high performance, reliability, and data quality.
- Support data migration, modernization, and integration initiatives.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and engineering teams to understand data requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, workflows, and development standards.
Talend Data Catalog
- Configure and manage metadata ingestion from enterprise data sources.
- Support data governance initiatives through metadata curation and stewardship.
- Enable self-service data discovery and improve enterprise-wide data accessibility.
- Maintain business glossaries, classifications, and catalog governance standards.
Talend Data Lineage
- Implement and maintain end-to-end data lineage across systems and data pipelines.
- Conduct impact analysis for source, schema, and process changes.
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR, BCBS 239, and internal governance policies.
- Ensure traceability, transparency, and auditability of data movement across the organization.
Talend ESB & Enterprise Integration
- Design and develop enterprise integration solutions using Talend ESB.
- Build and maintain mediation routes, web services, and API integrations.
- Work with Apache Camel and Apache Karaf for service orchestration and deployment.
- Integrate enterprise applications, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
- Develop and consume REST and SOAP services to support business processes.

Technical Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with the Talend Platform.
- Strong experience with Talend Data Catalog, Talend Data Lineage, and Talend ESB.
- Expertise in metadata management, data governance, and lineage implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Camel, Apache Karaf, REST APIs, SOAP Services, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong SQL skills with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT solutions using Talend Data Integration.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience working with XML, JSON, CSV, APIs, and cloud/on-premises data sources.
- Familiarity with governance and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and BCBS 239.
