Full job description

About the Role

You’ll support the finance and accounts team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, billing, expense tracking, vendor coordination, and financial documentation for design and project-related activities. This role involves 70% accounting operations and reporting, and 30% coordination and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

Maintain daily accounting entries and bookkeeping records
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and purchase entries
Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
Track project expenses, petty cash, and reimbursements
Assist in bank reconciliation and payment follow-ups
Support monthly closing and financial reporting activities

Billing & Documentation

Prepare GST invoices and maintain tax-related documentation
Organize bills, receipts, and vendor payment records
Maintain financial files, spreadsheets, and accounting databases
Assist in preparing MIS reports and expense summaries
Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance

Vendor & Client Coordination

Coordinate with vendors regarding payments and invoices
Follow up with clients for pending payments and billing clarifications
Support procurement and purchase documentation processes
Coordinate with internal teams for project-related financial data

Compliance & Reporting

Assist in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance work
Support accountants during audits and tax filings
Ensure accounting records are accurate and updated
Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Skills & Tools

Must Have

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
MS Excel and reporting skills
Understanding of GST, TDS, and invoicing processes
Good documentation and data entry skills

Good to Have

Knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime
Experience with billing and vendor management
Basic understanding of payroll processing
Familiarity with accounting software and MIS reporting
Familiar with Zoho Books and cloud-based accounting software.
