Unity VR Developer Intern

Location: Remote
Job Type: Internship
Duration: 3 Months |Could be extended based on performance|
Compensation: Paid Internship

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Unity VR Developer Intern to join our development team and work on real-world Virtual Reality (VR) applications using Unity and C#.

You will collaborate with experienced Unity developers, 3D artists, UI/UX designers, and project managers to build immersive and interactive VR experiences. This internship is ideal for fresh graduates, students, or aspiring developers looking to gain practical experience in Unity and VR development.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to live client projects, work with industry-standard tools and workflows, and develop hands-on expertise in VR application development.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain VR applications using Unity and C#.
Implement VR interactions, gameplay mechanics, and user interfaces.
Integrate 3D models, animations, audio, visual effects, and UI into Unity projects.
Work with Meta All-in-One SDK, OpenXR, and Unity XR Interaction Toolkit.
Optimize VR applications for smooth performance on Meta Quest devices.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Collaborate with Unity developers, 3D artists, UI/UX designers, and project managers.
Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and project timelines.
Continuously learn and apply best practices in Unity and VR development.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of Unity and C# programming.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Understanding of Unity fundamentals, including:
Scenes
Game Objects
Prefabs
UI
Animation
Physics
Asset Management
Basic understanding of VR concepts, interactions, and user experience principles.
Familiarity with Meta All-in-One SDK, Open XR, and Unity XR Interaction Toolkit.
Ability to integrate SDKs and third-party plugins into Unity projects.
Basic knowledge of Android build and deployment using Unity.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote environment.
A portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating Unity projects is preferred.

Good to Have

Experience developing applications for Meta Quest or other standalone VR devices.
Knowledge of REST API integration.
Familiarity with Unity Addressable, Asset Bundles, or Scriptable Objects.
Understanding of VR performance optimization techniques.
Experience with Git/version control systems.
