Senior Accountant – Real EstateRoles & Responsibilities
1. General Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for real estate projects, properties, and company entities.
- Maintain accurate General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closure of books and review accounting entries for accuracy.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and conduct regular account reconciliations.
2. Real Estate & Project Accounting
- Track project-wise revenue, costs, expenses, and profitability.
- Monitor construction, development, land acquisition, and other project-related expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and capital expenditure.
- Allocate expenses to appropriate projects, properties, cost centres, and entities.
- Monitor project budgets versus actual expenditure and identify variances.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Review and process vendor invoices, payments, and supporting documents.
- Monitor customer/tenant receivables and outstanding balances.
- Conduct vendor, customer, and tenant account reconciliations.
- Follow up on overdue receivables and support collection activities.
- Ensure proper approval and documentation of all financial transactions.
4. Bank & Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Reconcile inter-company and inter-project balances.
- Monitor cash balances and support cash-flow planning.
- Verify loan accounts, interest calculations, and repayment schedules.
5. Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Support timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Review GST/TDS calculations and related accounting entries.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors.
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory assessments and audits.
6. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Provide project-wise profitability and cost analysis.
- Prepare budget versus actual reports and variance analysis.
- Provide financial data and insights to management for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain accounting and financial dashboards as required.
7. Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Provide schedules, ledgers, invoices, reconciliations, and supporting documents during audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal financial controls.
- Identify accounting risks and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audit purposes.
8. Team Management
- Supervise and review the work of junior accountants.
- Guide the team on accounting procedures, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of accounting activities and monthly closing.
- Coordinate with HR, procurement, sales, projects, legal, and management teams.
9. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting through effective use of ERP/accounting systems.
- Support implementation of new accounting procedures and reporting formats.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
Key Objective of the Role
To ensure accurate accounting, effective financial control, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and strong financial monitoring of the company's real estate projects and properties.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
