Full job description

We are looking for a results-driven Local SEO Specialist to improve the online visibility of local businesses across Google Search, Google Maps, Bing, and emerging AI-powered search platforms.

The ideal candidate understands Local SEO fundamentals, Google Business Profile optimization, citation management, on-page SEO, schema markup, entity building, and local ranking factors. You will work closely with content, web development, and client success teams to drive measurable growth in rankings, leads, calls, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Google Business Profile Management:

- Optimize and maintain Google Business Profiles (GBP).

- Conduct GBP audits and implement recommendations.

- Create and publish GBP posts.

- Monitor and improve profile completeness and engagement metrics.

- Manage Q&A, products, services, and business attributes.

Local SEO Strategy & Execution:

- Perform local SEO audits and competitive analysis.

- Develop location-based SEO strategies.

- Build and optimize local landing pages.

- Improve local pack and map rankings.

- Monitor local search visibility and rankings.

Citation & NAP Management:

- Audit existing citations and business listings.

- Build and maintain accurate NAP consistency.

- Identify and resolve duplicate listings.

- Manage submissions across major directories and local citation sources.

On-Page SEO:

- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking.

- Implement local keyword targeting strategies.

- Create content recommendations for service pages and location pages.

- Improve user experience and conversion opportunities on local landing pages.

Technical SEO:

- Implement and validate LocalBusiness schema markup.

- Monitor website health and technical SEO issues.

- Coordinate with developers to resolve indexing, crawling, and site performance issues.

- Ensure proper tracking implementation through GA4, GSC, and GBP Insights.

Reporting & Analysis:

- Track rankings, traffic, calls, leads, and conversions.

- Prepare monthly SEO performance reports.

- Analyze competitors and identify growth opportunities.

- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders or clients.

GEO & AI Search Visibility:

- Optimize business entities for AI search engines and answer engines.

- Improve visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Bing Copilot.

- Implement structured data and entity-building strategies to increase citation opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

- 2+ years of Local SEO experience.

- Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization.

- Experience with local ranking factors and map pack optimization.

- Knowledge of on-page SEO and technical SEO fundamentals.

- Familiarity with schema markup and structured data.

Experience using tools such as:

- Google Search Console

- Google Analytics 4

- BrightLocal

- Ahrefs

- Semrush

- Screaming Frog

- LeadSnap

- WhiteSpark

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with home service businesses, healthcare, legal, or multi-location brands.

- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

- Understanding of entity SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization).

- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Google Map Pack rankings.

- Local keyword rankings.

- Organic traffic growth.

- Calls, form submissions, and lead generation.

- GBP engagement metrics.

- Citation accuracy score.

- Conversion rate improvements.

- AI search and citation visibility.
