Job Purpose
To lead and manage the overall operations of the Aggregate Plant, ensuring optimum production, quality, safety, maintenance, cost control, inventory management, and manpower utilization while achieving organizational production and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end aggregate plant operations including crushing, screening, washing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor plant efficiency, productivity, and operational performance.
- Implement process improvements to maximize output and reduce operational downtime.
2. Production Planning & Control
- Prepare and execute production plans based on business requirements.
- Monitor production metrics and take corrective actions to meet targets.
- Ensure optimal utilization of plant equipment and resources.
3. Maintenance Management
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment.
- Minimize downtime through effective maintenance planning.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs and equipment availability.
4. Quality Management
- Ensure production of aggregates as per specified quality standards.
- Monitor product gradation, quality parameters, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives.
5. Safety & Environment
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the plant.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms and pollution control requirements.
6. Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant personnel including supervisors, operators, mechanics, electricians, and support staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
7. Cost Control & Resource Optimization
- Monitor and control operational costs including fuel, power, consumables, repairs, and maintenance expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower and equipment.
8. Inventory & Logistics Management
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, finished goods, spares, and consumables.
- Coordinate dispatch planning and material movement.
- Ensure proper inventory control and reconciliation.
9. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Analyze production, maintenance, quality, and cost data.
- Present plant performance reviews to management.
10. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain operational records, maintenance logs, production reports, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Production, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in Aggregate Plants, Stone Crushing Plants, Mining Operations, Quarry Operations, or related industries.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role managing complete plant operations.
