Position: Senior MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

ROLE OVERVIEW
As Senior MEP Engineer, you will lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design, coordination, and execution across high-rise residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring code compliance, cost optimization, and seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMEP System Design & Planning
- Design and coordinate MEP systems for high-rise buildings (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, HVAC)
- Prepare detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and design calculations
- Ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS codes), National Building Code (NBC), and local municipal regulations
- Coordinate with architects and structural engineers for system integration and clash resolution
Project Execution & Quality Management
- Supervise MEP system installation on-site
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits
- Prepare and review MEP drawings, bills of quantity (BOQ), and cost estimates
- Manage vendor selection, procurement, and performance tracking
Coordination & Problem-Solving
- Resolve MEP clashes and site-level challenges in real-time
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and municipal authorities
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
- Prepare as-built drawings and project documentation
Cost & Timeline Management
- Manage MEP budgets and cost optimization strategies
- Ensure project timelines are met without compromising quality
- Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Diploma in MEP/Building Systems (preferred)
Experience
- 4 years of hands-on experience in MEP engineering for high-rise and conventional structures
- Proven experience in design, coordination, and execution of MEP systems
- Familiarity with Indian Standards (IS codes) and NBC compliance
- Experience with MEP software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, or similar)
- Background in residential or commercial real estate projects (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
- Understanding of MEP clash detection and coordination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
- Knowledge of energy-efficient MEP solutions (preferred)
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Leadership qualities to manage junior engineers and contractors
- Fluency in English; Hindi/Telugu beneficial
