JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Senior MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
Experience Required: 4 Years (High-Rise & Conventional Structures)
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting To: MEP Head / Project Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

As Senior MEP Engineer, you will lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design, coordination, and execution across high-rise residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring code compliance, cost optimization, and seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMEP System Design & Planning

Design and coordinate MEP systems for high-rise buildings (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, HVAC)
Prepare detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and design calculations
Ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS codes), National Building Code (NBC), and local municipal regulations
Coordinate with architects and structural engineers for system integration and clash resolution

Project Execution & Quality Management

Supervise MEP system installation on-site
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits
Prepare and review MEP drawings, bills of quantity (BOQ), and cost estimates
Manage vendor selection, procurement, and performance tracking

Coordination & Problem-Solving

Resolve MEP clashes and site-level challenges in real-time
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and municipal authorities
Conduct testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
Prepare as-built drawings and project documentation

Cost & Timeline Management

Manage MEP budgets and cost optimization strategies
Ensure project timelines are met without compromising quality
Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
Diploma in MEP/Building Systems (preferred)

Experience

4 years of hands-on experience in MEP engineering for high-rise and conventional structures
Proven experience in design, coordination, and execution of MEP systems
Familiarity with Indian Standards (IS codes) and NBC compliance
Experience with MEP software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, or similar)
Background in residential or commercial real estate projects (preferred)

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
Understanding of MEP clash detection and coordination
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
Knowledge of energy-efficient MEP solutions (preferred)

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Leadership qualities to manage junior engineers and contractors
Fluency in English; Hindi/Telugu beneficial
