Who we're looking for
We're not looking for someone who has used ChatGPT in a side project. We're looking for an engineer who has shipped AI-powered products in production integrated LLMs, built RAG pipelines and still written clean full-stack code alongside it all.
You'll lead a small, growing team of AI engineers and developers building intelligent systems in the healthcare BPO space. You'll own the architecture, set the quality bar, mentor the team, and be directly accountable to the Solution Architect and CTO.
This is a hands-on role. You will write code, not just review it. If you're at the stage where you've moved entirely into meetings and Jira boards, this is not the right fit.
What you'll own
- Full-stack development Node.js backends, Python services, React frontends, PostgreSQL/MongoDB/vector databases. You write the hard parts, not just the specs.
- Technical standards Lead code reviews, enforce quality, define how AI APIs are integrated, and ensure cost, latency, and security are first-class concerns not afterthoughts.
- Deployment & ops Manage CI/CD pipelines, monitor AI feature performance, respond to production incidents, and coordinate cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Team leadership Mentor 3–5 engineers. You are not a manager pushing tickets — you are a senior practitioner who raises the bar around you.
Must-have
- 4–6 years of full-stack development (Node.js preferred, Python; React or Vue frontend)
- 2+ years of hands-on, production AI/LLM experience — not demos, not POCs. Shipped products.
- Direct experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Vertex AI, and/or Hugging Face
- RAG system design, LangChain/LangGraph, prompt engineering (system prompts, few-shot, chain-of-thought, function calling)
- Vector databases — Pinecone, Weaviate, or equivalent
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Git workflows, testing frameworks
- 1+ year leading or mentoring a technical team — with genuine accountability for their output quality
- Strong written and spoken English
Strong plus
- Healthcare, RCM, or medical billing domain experience (HIPAA familiarity a bonus)
- LLM cost optimization at scale — token efficiency, caching, routing strategies
- Real-time AI features — WebSockets, streaming
- Multimodal AI — vision, audio, document processing
- Model fine-tuning
- DevOps — Docker, Kubernetes
- Open-source AI/LLM contributions
