Job Summary
We are looking for a highly creative and SEO-focused Content Writer with strong experience in writing for landing pages, blogs, pillar pages, social media, short-form video scripts, and content optimisation.
The ideal candidate should understand how to write content that ranks on Google, performs well on social media, and supports visibility in AI Overviews, AI Mode, featured snippets, and answer-led search results.
This role is for someone who can think creatively, research deeply, write naturally, and adapt content for different platforms. The writer should have a strong understanding of SEO, E-E-A-T, social media trends, short-form content, UK and US English, brand tone, and AI tools — but should not be fully dependent on AI tools for writing.
What You'll Do Every Day
● Write SEO-optimised landing pages, service pages, blogs, pillar pages, location pages, and website content.
● Write short-form video scripts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn videos.
● Craft strong opening hooks that stop the scroll within the first 2-3 seconds.
● Write captions, post copy, CTAs, and social media content for multiple platforms.
● Create content that matches the platform: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, website, and blog.
● Research trending topics, viral formats, platform updates, and audience behaviour.
● Develop original content ideas, campaign themes, content series, and weekly creative briefs.
● Write in the brand's defined voice consistently while adapting tone for each platform.
● Collaborate with SEO, creative, design, and video teams.
● Hand over clear, camera-ready scripts with notes on delivery, pacing, tone, and text-on-screen.
● Optimise old content based on SEO data, ranking performance, engagement, and conversion intent.
● Improve existing pages using keyword gaps, search intent, competitor analysis, internal linking, and E-E-A-T.
● Write content that supports rankings in Google Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, featured snippets, and zero-click search.
● Create FAQs, snippets, summaries, and answer-led sections that are clear and useful for users.
● Use AI tools for support, research, and ideation, but produce final content with human judgement and brand understanding.
Must-Have Skills
● 5-7 years of content writing experience, including SEO and social media content.
● Strong experience writing landing pages, blogs, pillar pages, service pages, and social media scripts.
● Good at research for content and viral content for the right set of keywords and concepts for SEO & Social media, respectively..
● Expert-level short-form scriptwriting ability, including talking-head scripts, voiceover scripts, text-on-screen scripts, Reels, TikToks, Shorts, and LinkedIn video scripts.
● Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn content culture.
● Ability to write sticky, memorable hooks consistently.
● Strong understanding of SEO content optimisation.
● Knowledge of search intent, keyword research, keyword placement, semantic SEO, content clusters, internal linking, E-E-A-T, helpful content, AI Overview, and AI Mode content structure.
● Ability to write content that is clear, useful, well-structured, and conversion-focused.
● Good understanding of how to write for both users and search engines.
● Fluent in British English.
● Clear understanding of the difference between UK English and US English.
● Ability to use UK spelling, phrasing, tone, and light UK slang where suitable.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
● Ability to take feedback and revise content properly.
● Creative mindset with the ability to find content ideas from everyday business, trends, customer problems, and competitor activity.
● Knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grammarly, Surfer SEO, Frase, Clearscope, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
● Must not be dependent on AI tools for writing.
Portfolio Requirement
The candidate must share a proven portfolio with real examples. They should provide:
● At least 2-3 social media content pieces with real engagement numbers.
● Landing pages, blogs, or pillar pages written by them that are currently ranking on Google.
● Examples of SEO-optimised content that improved traffic, rankings, leads, or engagement.
● Examples of short-form video scripts written for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or LinkedIn.
● Samples written for UK and/or US audiences.
● Before-and-after examples of content optimisation, if available.
For ranking samples, the candidate should be able to explain:
● Target keyword.
● Search intent.
● Their role in writing or optimisation.
● Current ranking or performance.
● What SEO improvements they made.
● How they included E-E-A-T or trust signals.
● How the content was structured for Google, AI Overviews, or featured snippets.
Good to Have
● Experience writing for B2B, SaaS, offshore staffing, healthcare, finance, legal, recruitment, education, or service-based businesses.
● Experience creating content calendars and social media campaign plans.
● Understanding of conversion copywriting.
● Ability to write ad copy, email copy, and website CTAs.
● Experience working with designers, editors, SEO teams, and video creators.
● Basic knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar SEO tools.
● Ability to repurpose one idea into multiple formats: blog, video script, carousel, LinkedIn post, reel, and email.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong writer with both creative content skills and SEO understanding.
They should be able to write a landing page that ranks, a blog that builds authority, a pillar page that supports topical depth, and a short-form script that performs on social media.
They should understand that modern content is not only about keywords. It needs to be useful, trustworthy, clear, engaging, and suitable for both search engines and AI-led search results.
The right person should be creative, research-driven, confident with British English, aware of US English differences, comfortable with AI tools, but strong enough to write without depending on them.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
