Work Timing: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Will change as per daylight saving difference). Needs to be available during morning time during release time which usually happens at 9:00 AM.
Work Location (Pune/Remote/Hybrid)
Location : Pune or other physical location in India
Educational Qualification
Candidate Education: Preferable BE or MCA ( Pls avoid BSc/MSc candidates)
Role Summary / Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with 5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience in Production environments, responsible for the administration, performance optimization, and operational excellence of SQL Server databases across Azure VM (IaaS) and Azure SQL Managed Instance (PaaS) environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases across Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS) and Azure SQL Managed Instance (PaaS) environments, ensuring high availability, security, and operational stability.
- Optimize database performance through proactive monitoring, query tuning, index management, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of performance bottlenecks.
- Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, including regular validation of backup integrity and recovery procedures.
- Provide production database support by resolving incidents, conducting root cause analysis, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring adherence to SLA commitments.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to implement database best practices, automate routine administrative tasks, and support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
