Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python (Django), Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Apache Camel to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services. You will play a key role in integrating distributed systems, optimizing data workflows, and delivering high-performance, reliable solutions in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
Build scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow
Implement integration patterns and routing using Apache Camel
Architect and manage end-to-end data flows across multiple systems
Optimize performance for large-scale data processing and APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, DevOps, product, frontend)
Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Work with cloud platforms and distributed environments
Document solutions, architecture, and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in software development
Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala is a plus)
Solid experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Experience with Apache Camel for system integrations and routing
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture
Experience working with large-scale data systems
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
Understanding of distributed systems and data processing concepts
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments
Proficiency with version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming platforms
Experience with data lake / data warehouse architectures
Exposure to event-driven architecture

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
