Job Description – Web Developer

Position: Web Developer
Department: IT / Technology
Location: Maya Puri
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 1–2 Years
Reporting To: IT Manager / Management

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize the company’s websites and web-based applications. The candidate should have good knowledge of front-end and back-end development and be able to work independently as well as with the internal team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update company websites and web applications.
Create responsive and user-friendly web pages for desktop and mobile devices.
Convert UI designs into functional web pages.
Develop and maintain front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks.
Develop and manage back-end functionality and APIs.
Work with databases and ensure proper data management.
Integrate third-party APIs and web services when required.
Fix website bugs, errors, and performance issues.
Optimize websites for speed, security, SEO, and responsiveness.
Maintain website content, forms, dashboards, and other web functionalities.
Perform testing and debugging before deployment.
Manage website hosting, domains, SSL, backups, and basic server-related activities.
Maintain proper documentation of development work and changes.
Coordinate with HR, Accounts, Sales, Production, and Management for internal web-based requirements.
Develop internal tools, dashboards, employee portals, and other business applications as required.
Ensure website and application security and protect company data.
Provide technical support for existing web applications.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
Knowledge of React.js / Angular / Vue.js is an advantage.
Knowledge of PHP / Node.js / Python or any relevant backend technology.
Good understanding of MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB.
Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party API integration.
Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.
Understanding of responsive web design.
Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization.
Knowledge of website hosting, domains, SSL, and deployment.
Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
Relevant practical experience or a strong portfolio of web development projects will be considered.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Candidate

1–3 years of relevant experience.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

Timely completion of assigned development tasks.
Website/application uptime and performance.
Number of bugs resolved and development quality.
Page speed and responsiveness.
Security and data protection.
Successful deployment of projects.
Timely maintenance and updates.
Quality of internal web tools and dashboards.
