We are looking for an IT Administrator to manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, network, security, cloud services, user accounts, and day-to day IT operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and uninterrupted operation of IT systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Manage and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT assets.
- Monitor system performance, storage, backups, and availability.
- Perform hardware/software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Handle OS installation, updates, patches, and system upgrades.
2. Network Administration
- Manage office LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and access points.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- Manage static IPs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and related network configurations.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers for connectivity-related issues.
- Maintain network documentation and basic network diagrams.
3. Firewall & Cybersecurity
- Manage and monitor the organization's Sophos Firewall.
- Configure firewall rules, VPNs, web filtering, security policies, and access controls.
- Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activity.
- Maintain endpoint security and antivirus solutions.
- Implement basic cybersecurity best practices, access controls, and security policies.
- Assist with security audits and incident response.
4. Cloud Infrastructure – GCP
- Manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and resources.
- Maintain virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, IAM, and service accounts.
- Monitor cloud resource usage, performance, availability, and costs.
- Support deployment and maintenance of applications hosted on GCP.
- Manage backups and recovery procedures for cloud-hosted systems.
5. Biometric & Access Control Systems
- Manage and maintain the organization's biometric attendance systems.
- Configure employee access, attendance devices, and related software.
- Troubleshoot biometric device/network synchronization issues.
- Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding, transfers, and deactivation.
- Maintain attendance system availability and data integrity.
6. User & Account Management
- Create and manage employee IT accounts and access permissions.
- Manage Microsoft 365/email accounts, shared mailboxes, and user access.
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Reset passwords and resolve account/access issues.
- Ensure users receive only the access required for their role.
7. IT Support
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, printer, and system issues.
- Install and configure required applications and tools.
- Maintain an IT support/request tracking process.
- Provide basic IT training and cybersecurity awareness to employees.
8. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Maintain regular backups of critical servers, databases, and business data.
- Verify backup status and periodically test restoration.
- Maintain basic disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure critical systems can be restored in case of hardware failure, data loss, or security incidents.
9. CCTV & Other IT Systems
- Support and maintain CCTV/NVR systems and network connectivity.
- Manage network-connected devices such as access points, biometric
- devices, printers, and other IoT/IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues in coordination with vendors.
10. Vendor & IT Procurement Management
- Coordinate with IT vendors, ISPs, hardware suppliers, and software providers.
- Obtain quotations and assist with IT procurement.
- Track licenses, subscriptions, warranties, AMC/CMC, and renewals.
- Maintain documentation for IT contracts and services.
11. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain updated documentation for:
- Network architecture
- Servers
- Firewall configuration
- Cloud infrastructure
- User accounts
- IT assets
- Software licenses
- Backup procedures
- Maintain IT policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure proper access control and data security practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
- Good understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN,LAN/WAN.
- Experience with firewalls, preferably Sophos.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of server administration and virtualization.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / email administration.
- Knowledge of biometric/attendance systems.
- Basic cybersecurity and endpoint security knowledge.
- Hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
