Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management principles and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and CEO to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals.
Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
Utilize software tools such as Buildertrend, on screenTake Off, planswift, Bluebeam and EXCEL for efficient estimating and project management
Collaborate with project managers to analyze project specifications and requirements.

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals for potential projects.
Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. 2-3 yrs Minimum preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction management practices and principles.
Familiarity with estimating software
Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
Experience in cost control measures within construction projects is highly valued.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
