Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, responsible, and detail-oriented Machine Operator / Machinery Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and upkeep of production machinery and equipment in our food manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for operating machines efficiently, minimizing downtime, and maintaining equipment in safe working condition.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
- Operate food processing and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance and production output.
- Ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
Maintenance & Repair
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines.
- Identify mechanical issues by observing equipment during operation.
- Dismantle machinery and replace defective components when required.
- Conduct routine inspections to prevent equipment failures.
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding maintenance requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all factory safety procedures and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with company policies, SOPs, GMP, and hygiene standards.
Training & Support
- Train production workers on routine machine operation and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in improving machine efficiency and reducing downtime.
- Support production teams during troubleshooting activities.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, or related field preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial machinery operations.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment safely.
- Familiarity with safety standards, factory regulations, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze machine performance and prepare maintenance reports.
