Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Post Graduate Engineer Trainee. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a lead product engineer, you will work closely with the cross functional teams in various locations of our business to build industry-relevant products that meet the required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Productivity, Q&R, NPD, Agile, NTP and others..

undefined Understand project requirements, collaborate with project owners, leaders & cross-functional teams across the globe for the delivery of projects, by adhering to standard processes, systems, and project management principles

Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D), Project cost (C) &Product cost (C) targets. Proficient in Project management.

Solve technical problems, identify solutions, participate in concept reviews, critical design reviews, and other technical discussions with the global team and handle multiple projects at the same time

Develop concepts, design/select & develop components along with suppliers, develop component specifications for structural component (metal, non-metal) and assemblies, DFMEA and test plan

Create and release engineering documentation using PLM & PDM software like ProE & Windchill. (Design, Drawings, Bill of material, and Specifications).

Co-ordinate with cross-functional team to implement design changes.
What you will bring:

BE degree - Mechanical/ Masters in Thermal Engineering / related specialization

Good understanding on design calculations, design engineering in the domain currently working..

Good Knowledge of metal & Non-metal component design,. Basics of Electrical system / components would be added advantage.

Basic knowledge in understanding material properties for materials selection considering application requirements.

Demonstrates ability to get to root cause and to take effective action to solve problems. Hands on experience with problem solving tools.
