Role Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our factory's production equipment, including pasteurizers, boilers, and labelling machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime across all utility and processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of pasteurizers, boilers, and labelling machines
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults to minimize production downtime
- Monitor boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and water treatment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Calibrate and adjust pasteurizer temperature/flow controls to maintain product quality and food safety norms
- Maintain labelling machine accuracy, fix jams, and ensure smooth changeovers between product runs
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical components
- Keep maintenance logs, service records, and breakdown reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory boiler/pressure-vessel regulations
- Coordinate with production team for scheduled maintenance windows
- Train and guide junior technicians/operators on basic equipment handling
Eligibility:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 0–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/food processing/FMCG environment
- Hands-on experience with boilers, pasteurizers, or packaging / labelling equipment preferred
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, PLC basics, and pneumatic systems is a plus
- Boiler operation certification/license (as per local regulations) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns
