Location: Kochi / Trivandrum Experience: 4–7 Years Notice Period: Immediate Mandatory skills: TypeScript and/or Python, APIs and microservices, backend-node or python, containerized applications using Docker ,AWS About the Role We are seeking an experienced Product Platform Engineer to build and enhance the core platform services, APIs, and data systems that power modern digital products. This role focuses on cloud-native architectures, telemetry-driven systems, reusable platform capabilities, and backend engineering. You will work closely with application engineers, cloud engineers, and integration teams to develop scalable platform components that enable product teams to deliver features efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services used across multiple products. • Build and enhance backend APIs and microservices using TypeScript and/or Python. • Design and support data platforms that move telemetry and operational data between systems. • Develop reusable platform capabilities that simplify application development. • Contribute to IoT and telemetry integration layers, including data processing and normalization. • Build, deploy, and manage containerized services using Docker. • Collaborate with engineering teams to define APIs, data contracts, and platform standards. • Support cloud-based deployments, integrations, and operational requirements. • Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and diagnostics for platform services. • Troubleshoot and resolve platform reliability, performance, and integration issues. • Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practices. Required Skills • 4–7 years of software engineering experience. • Strong backend development experience with: • TypeScript and/or Python • Node.js or Python-based backend frameworks • Experience designing and developing APIs and microservices. • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments. • Experience working with AWS and cloud-native applications. • Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows. • Experience supporting production applications and services. • Understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures. Preferred Skills • AWS Lambda and EC2. • Event-driven or streaming architectures. • Observability, monitoring, and diagnostics tools. • IoT or telemetry-driven systems. • AWS IoT SiteWise. • AWS IoT Greengrass. • Edge-to-cloud architectures. • Multi-service or platform engineering environments. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
