Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise software features and requirements.
Design, code, test, and debug software applications using modern front-end and back-end programming languages.
Develop and maintain software documentation, including requirements, design, and testing documentation.
Evaluate and recommend software tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve software development efficiency and quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects in existing software applications.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
Work with product managers and stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and resolve software issues and defects.
Build and maintain software infrastructure and architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in software release management, including testing, deployment, and documentation.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and share knowledge with the team.

Key attributes required

Excellent Ruby on Rails experience and skills
Experience in Charting, such as Highcharts or similar
Experience in other programming technologies such as jQuery, JavaScript, HTML 5, SCSS, Bootstrap, Linux, Git, Nginx, AWS (Amazon Web Services, including SSL, RES, EC2, SES, AMI, and Load Balancer), PostgreSQL Database
An advantage would be having experience with full-stack development, including Flutter, and experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerised applications
Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages quickly
Excellent verbal and written English skills
