Job Opportunity: Specialist, Global Procedures and Training

Position Description:
The Specialist, R&D Quality Systems & Global Training, is responsible for the independent execution and support of Elanco’s R&D quality and training framework. This role requires a professional who can apply a solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure global compliance.
As a contributor, you are expected to be a high-executor who manages day-to-day activities with minimal oversight, utilizing strong judgment-based skills to prioritize tasks effectively. You will leverage technology enhanced tools to drive productivity, visualize compliance data. Maintain seamless document control within the Veeva Quality Vault and SuccessFactors. This position is ideal for an individual who can independently connect with global stakeholders to ensure R&D deliverables meet regulatory expectations.
Function Duties and Tasks:
QMS Operations: Independently manage R&D quality management system tasks, including metrics collection, document tracking, and status reporting.
Training Delivery: Execute the Global Quality System for R&D, ensuring the "right training, right employee, right timing" to maintain global compliance.
AI & Data Productivity: Apply AI-based solutions alongside Power BI to identify trends, visualize compliance gaps, and streamline the reporting process for R&D management.
Documentation & Job Aides: Author and maintain job aides and working documents that detail operational procedures with high technical accuracy.
System Proficiency: Serve as a key user and administrator for R&D support systems, including Veeva Quality Vault, SuccessFactors, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Compliance Support: Support compliance audits and regulatory inspections by providing organized, accurate documentation and data-driven process insights.
Ad-hoc Metrics Assistance: Assist with the update of Power BI metrics and reporting tools when necessary to support the communication of compliance status.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Proactively connect and interact with stakeholders across R&D, Regulatory, and Quality functions to align on deliverables.
Independent Problem Solving: Identify procedural issues and proactively search for solutions, escalating complex matters only when necessary.
Collaboration: Work effectively within and across Elanco R&D teams and external partners to achieve team objectives.
Operational Excellence: Deliver individual objectives in a high-quality, timely, and cost-effective manner, demonstrating a "Play to Win" mentality.
Adaptability: Demonstrate learning agility and flexibility when navigating changing priorities or new system implementations.

Minimum Qualification (Education, Experience, and/or Training):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in document management, quality systems, or regulated environments (1-2 years for high-potential candidates).
Judgment: Demonstrated ability to exercise sound professional judgment and work independently with minimal daily oversight.
QMS Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems and the importance of regulatory compliance in R&D.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with global partners across different time zones.
Execution: Proven ability to prioritize a diverse workload and meet strict timelines under pressure.
Additional Preferences:
Data Analytics: Proficiency in Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizing complex data sets.
AI Literacy: Exposure to practical use of AI/Persona to enhance work efficiency and data visualization.
Technical Systems: Advanced proficiency in Veeva Vault or similar electronic document management systems (EDMS).
LMS Knowledge: Experience working with Learning Management Systems such as SuccessFactors.
Other Information:
Travel: Limited travel required ( 5%).
