Zentora Global is a business operations firm supporting growing companies in the United States. We run the finance and back office work our clients do not have the in-house team to handle: bookkeeping, billing, reporting, and the analysis that sits on top of it.
We are hiring a Financial Analyst to own the budgeting, forecasting, and US GAAP reporting we deliver to those clients. This is not a month end data entry role. You will be the person a US business owner talks to when they want to know whether they can afford to hire, why last quarter's margin slipped, and what the next twelve months look like.
You will work directly with US-based clients on a US-overlap shift, so accurate US GAAP reporting and confident written English both matter as much as your modelling.
What you'll do
Budgeting and forecasting (the core of this role)
- Build and maintain rolling 12-month forecasts and annual operating budgets for a portfolio of US client businesses
- Run cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis, and flag runway or liquidity risk before it becomes urgent
- Build driver-based financial models for scenario planning: hiring plans, pricing changes, new service lines, capacity decisions
- Track actuals against budget every month, produce the variance analysis, and write the commentary that explains what happened and what to do about it
US GAAP reporting
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements on a US GAAP basis: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow
- Apply accrual accounting correctly, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), prepaid and accrued expenses, deferred revenue, fixed assets and depreciation schedules, and lease treatment (ASC 842) where relevant
- Own the month end close for assigned clients: reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and a clean, review-ready set of books
- Prepare year end schedules and workpapers for clients' US CPAs and support their queries during review
Client work
- Present findings on video calls to US client stakeholders and answer the follow-up questions without a script
- Work with our bookkeeping team to keep the underlying data clean enough to forecast from, and fix the process where it is not
- Build repeatable models and reporting templates as we take on more clients
Required
- 6 to 9 years in financial planning and analysis, US accounting, or a similar analytical finance role
- Hands-on working knowledge of US GAAP, gained through a US client, a US parent company, or a US accounting or KPO practice. You should be able to talk through accrual treatment and revenue recognition without looking it up
- Demonstrated ownership of budgeting and forecasting, not just support on someone else's model
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: multi-sheet driver-based models, scenario toggles, lookups, pivot tables, clean model structure
- Hands-on with at least one accounting platform: QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar
- Strong written English. You will send analysis and recommendations to US clients in writing, and how you write is part of what we deliver
- Able to work a US-overlap shift, Monday to Friday
- Stable internet, a working laptop, and a quiet space for client calls
Strong advantage
- CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, or MBA (Finance)
- Experience in an outsourced finance, KPO, or multi-client environment
- Exposure to US sales tax, 1099 reporting, or US payroll concepts
- Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio
