Job Description – Floor Manager (Quick Service Restaurant)

Position Details

Job Title: Floor Manager
Department: Operations
Location: Lucknow
Reporting To: Restaurant Manager/Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Floor Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth restaurant operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing floor staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service, hygiene, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Supervise and manage daily restaurant floor operations.
Ensure smooth guest service, order fulfilment, and table turnover.
Monitor opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with all operational SOPs and company standards.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards across the outlet.

Team Leadership & Staff Management

Lead, motivate, and supervise service staff, stewards, and cashiers.
Conduct daily shift briefings and allocate responsibilities.
Train and mentor team members on service standards and operational procedures.
Monitor employee attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Service Excellence

Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
Address customer concerns, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Resolve service-related issues quickly to maintain guest satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Sales & Revenue Management

Drive sales through upselling and promotional initiatives.
Monitor daily sales performance and support achievement of outlet targets.
Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and in-store promotions.

Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements.
Minimize wastage and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Conduct routine stock checks and inventory audits.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverage products.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure adherence to food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.
Maintain operational records, shift reports, and incident reports.
Report operational challenges and improvement opportunities to management.
Support audits and compliance checks as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience

3–8 years of experience in restaurant, QSR, café, food retail, or hospitality operations.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role preferred.

Skills Required

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and inventory management.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
