Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:
Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the facility.
Provide information regarding services, procedures, and policies in a clear and compassionate manner.
Appointment Scheduling:
Manage appointment scheduling for sonography services, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient flow.
Confirm appointments and provide reminders to patients prior to their scheduled visits.
Patient Records Management:
Maintain accurate patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between patients, sonographers, and other healthcare staff, relaying important information and addressing any inquiries.
Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner, addressing patient concerns or directing calls to the appropriate department.
Billing and Insurance:
Assist patients with billing inquiries and insurance verification processes.
Prepare and process any necessary paperwork related to insurance claims and patient transactions.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Coordination:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care and workflow within the department.
Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications: Graduate in any stream with receptionist experience

Working Conditions:

Primarily works in a medical office or imaging center environment.
May require standing for long periods and the ability to handle a busy reception area.
