Junior Site Engineer – Real Estate Company
Position Overview
The Junior Site Engineer is responsible for assisting in the execution, supervision, and coordination of construction activities at project sites. The role includes monitoring site work, maintaining quality standards, supervising contractors and labor teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
The Junior Site Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, architects, contractors, vendors, and project management teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Monitor site progress and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams.
- Assist senior engineers in planning and execution of construction work.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, manpower, and equipment at site.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and vendors for smooth project execution.
2. Quality Control & Monitoring
- Monitor quality of construction work and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Check workmanship and material quality as per approved specifications.
- Assist in conducting site inspections and quality checks.
- Report construction issues, deviations, and delays to senior management.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented for quality-related concerns.
3. Site Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Contractors
- Vendors
- Consultants
- Site supervisors
- Purchase department
- Stores department
- Project management team
- Ensure availability of materials and resources as per project requirements.
- Assist in scheduling and coordination of site activities.
- Follow up with vendors and contractors for timely completion of work.
4. Measurement & Billing Support
- Assist in measurement of executed work and preparation of quantity reports.
- Verify contractor bills and work completion status.
- Maintain records of material consumption and site progress.
- Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures and site discipline.
- Monitor usage of safety equipment and adherence to safety norms.
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
- Ensure compliance with construction and statutory guidelines at site.
6. Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain proper site documentation including:
- Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Material inward records
- Work progress reports
- Site inspection reports
- Contractor records
- Measurement sheets
- Drawing registers
- Site instructions and communications
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of records in:
- Hard Copy Files
- Soft Copy / Digital Records
- Maintain updated copies of approved drawings and site documents.
- Prepare and submit reports to senior engineers and management regularly.
7. Material & Resource Monitoring
- Monitor material usage and prevent wastage at site.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase department for material requirements.
- Maintain material stock and consumption records.
- Verify receipt and quality of site materials.
8. Professional Conduct & Development
- Maintain professionalism, discipline, and punctuality at site.
- Follow company policies, construction standards, and reporting systems.
- Learn and upgrade technical knowledge related to construction practices.
- Participate in site meetings, training sessions, and project reviews.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of construction execution and site supervision.
- Understanding of RCC, finishing work, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and site management abilities.
- Knowledge of quality and safety practices.
- Ability to work under deadlines and site pressure.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – Mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 0–3 years of experience in construction or real estate projects.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also apply.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD basics
- MS Excel & MS Office
- Basic quantity estimation and measurement
- Site reporting and documentation
Preferred Exposure
- Residential and commercial real estate projects
- RCC and finishing work supervision
- Contractor coordination
- Material management and billing support
Additional Information
- Candidate should be willing to work on-site and travel as per project requirements.
- Preference will be given to candidates with real estate or construction industry experience.
- Strong focus on quality, discipline, and timely project execution is expected.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment is essential.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
