Job Summary
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day construction activities at the project site. The role involves monitoring manpower, materials, contractors, work quality, safety, and progress to ensure that construction work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor civil, structural, finishing, and other construction activities.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and workers.
- Ensure proper sequencing and timely completion of site activities.
2. Manpower & Labour Management
- Monitor daily attendance and deployment of labour at the site.
- Allocate work to workers and subcontractors as per project requirements.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available for planned activities.
- Monitor productivity and report manpower-related issues to the Project Manager.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure construction work is carried out according to required quality standards.
- Check workmanship and identify defects or deviations.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer/Quality Team for inspections and rectification.
- Ensure proper use of approved materials and construction methods.
4. Material Management
- Monitor availability and usage of construction materials at the site.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for material requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Report shortages, wastage, damages, or excess consumption.
5. Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with civil contractors, subcontractors, and service agencies.
- Monitor contractor work progress and productivity.
- Ensure contractors follow approved work methods and project schedules.
- Report delays, quality issues, and manpower shortages to management.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure workers follow site safety rules and procedures.
- Monitor the use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, and safety belts.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions at the site.
7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor daily work progress against the project schedule.
- Prepare daily site progress reports/DPRs.
- Record completed quantities and pending works.
- Highlight delays, site issues, and material requirements to the Project Manager.
- Support the team in achieving project milestones within the planned timelines.
8. Drawings & Documentation
- Work as per approved construction drawings and instructions.
- Coordinate with engineers regarding drawing clarifications and site requirements.
- Maintain records of measurements, work progress, material usage, and site instructions.
- Ensure any changes or deviations are brought to the attention of the concerned engineer.
9. Coordination with Project Team
- Coordinate with Civil, MEP, Electrical, Plumbing, Finishing, and other project teams.
- Attend daily/weekly site meetings as required.
- Communicate site requirements and work priorities to the workforce.
- Support engineers and project management in resolving site-related issues.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of construction site activities and practices.
- Knowledge of civil construction and finishing works.
- Ability to manage labour and subcontractors.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings.

Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience in residential apartments, villas and buildings or real estate construction projects.
- Experience in apartment/villa/high-rise construction will be an added advantage.
