Job Description

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all events held at the property, including conferences, weddings, banquets, and corporate functions
Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and corporate partners to secure bookings and maximize revenue opportunities
Lead and mentor the events team, providing training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
Manage venue logistics, including room setup, audiovisual requirements, catering coordination, and technical support
Collaborate with departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure seamless event execution
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, including florists, decorators, entertainment providers, and equipment suppliers
Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase event bookings and enhance the property's reputation as a premier events destination
Monitor event quality and guest satisfaction through post-event evaluations and feedback mechanisms
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations for all events
Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for service enhancement and revenue growth
Prepare regular reports on event performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics for senior management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 7-8 years of progressive experience in event planning and coordination, with at least 3 years in a director-level or senior management role
Strong proficiency in event management software and property management systems (PMS)
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with demonstrated vendor relationship experience
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Strong financial acumen, including budget development, cost control, and revenue optimization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and senior leadership
Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations specific to event venues and hospitality operations
Demonstrated expertise in wedding and social event planning
Experience with audio-visual technology and event production
Knowledge of destination marketing and tourism industry trends
Bilingual capabilities (English and Hindi preferred for Agra location)
