Job Summary
A Keyboard / Piano Teacher is responsible for teaching students how to play the keyboard or piano, developing their musical skills, understanding of rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory. The teacher guides students from beginner to advanced levels while encouraging creativity, discipline, and musical expression.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach keyboard or piano to students of different age groups and skill levels.
- Provide training in basic to advanced keyboard techniques, scales, chords, and finger exercises.
- Teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm, and timing.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, competitions, and music exams.
- Develop lesson plans and practice exercises suitable for each student’s level.
- Conduct individual and group classes.
- Help students learn songs, compositions, and accompaniment techniques.
- Encourage regular practice and progress tracking.
- Maintain attendance, progress reports, and student assessments.
- Support academy events, concerts, and music workshops.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of piano/keyboard playing techniques
- Understanding of music theory, scales, chords, and rhythm
- Ability to teach beginners as well as advanced students
- Good communication and patience with students
- Ability to teach Indian and/or Western music styles
- Capability to prepare students for stage performances
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Music, Piano, or Keyboard (preferred)
- Certification from recognized music boards (optional but beneficial)
- 2–5 years teaching experience preferred
- Experience in music academies or schools is an advantage
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
