Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer – Electrical with strong expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP and Electrical BIM modelling to support large-scale and technically complex projects, particularly across the Middle East region and Data Center, Healthcare, Sports Arena’s project experience.
The candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, understanding engineering requirements and design intent, and delivering high-quality BIM models and documentation within challenging project timelines.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit from concept/design development through IFC stages.

Model and coordinate Electrical systems including Small Power Lighting Containment Fire Alarm Earthing & Lightning Protection Electrical equipment and panel layouts Cable tray and other electrical distribution systems

Prepare Electrical layouts, schematics, schedules, sections and construction/IFC documentation.

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, markups and design intent and accurately translate them into BIM models.

Perform regular self-checks and model QA/QC before submission.

Coordinate Electrical services with HVAC, PHE, ELV, Architectural, Structural and other disciplines.

Identify, review and resolve clashes using Navisworks and Revizto.
-
Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and support technical discussions and clash resolution.

Understand typical corridor, ceiling, riser and plant-room coordination requirements and make appropriate modelling decisions with minimal engineering support.

Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM standards, BEP, modelling guidelines and LOD requirements.

Support critical project submissions and deliver assigned packages within agreed timelines.

Coordinate directly with Engineers, BIM Leads and Middle East project teams.

Mentor junior modelers and provide technical guidance.

Proactively identify modelling, design and coordination issues and communicate them to the relevant stakeholders.
Data Center, Healthcare, Sports Arena’s project experience – Preferred

Experience working on Data Center, Healthcare, Sports Arena’s project experience will be highly desirable.

Good understanding of the Electrical requirements and BIM coordination challenges associated with Data Center environments.

Experience modelling and coordinating systems such as: MV/LV electrical distribution Transformers and switchgear UPS systems Generators Busduct/busway systems Electrical containment and cable tray systems Power distribution systems Lighting and emergency lighting Earthing and lightning protection Electrical equipment rooms and substations

Ability to coordinate Electrical services within high-density technical spaces, including plant rooms, electrical rooms, risers and ceiling/service zones.

Experience coordinating Electrical services with HVAC, fire protection, ELV, structural and architectural requirements in technically complex environments.

Understanding of redundancy, resilience and maintainability requirements typically associated with Data Center projects would be an advantage.

Ability to work with large and complex multidisciplinary models and manage coordination requirements within tight programme timelines.
Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit MEP – Electrical.

Strong understanding of Electrical design and BIM modelling workflows.
-
Proficiency in Navisworks and Revizto for coordination and clash resolution.

Knowledge of ACC / Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows is preferred.

Strong understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements and project-specific modelling procedures.

Ability to independently review and quality-check models.

Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be an experienced Electrical BIM professional with strong Revit capability, Middle East project experience and preferably Data Center, Healthcare, Sports Arena’s project experience . At Senior Designer level, the candidate should be capable of understanding design intent, independently developing models, identifying coordination issues, making appropriate modelling decisions and delivering high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
Data Center, Healthcare, Sports Arena’s project experience should be considered a strong advantage, particularly for candidates who have worked on complex electrical infrastructure, high-density MEP coordination and technically demanding projects.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.

8–10+ years of relevant Electrical BIM/Revit experience preferred.

Proven experience on large-scale Middle East projects.
-
Data Center project experience is highly desirable.

Experience across multiple design stages, preferably Concept, SD, DD, Tender and IFC.

Demonstrated experience working independently as a Senior Electrical Modeler.

Experience mentoring junior BIM team members.
