Location: Saksham Rohru Centre, Rohru, Himachal Pradesh

The Rohru Centre provides residential, educational, rehabilitation, and developmental services for children and adults with disabilities.
Position Summary
The Peon plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational functioning of the Rohru Centre. The position involves providing office assistance, maintaining cleanliness and organization of office spaces, handling documents and correspondence, supporting meetings and events, and assisting staff in routine administrative activities.
The ideal candidate should be responsible, hardworking, organized, and willing to support multiple functions within the centre.
Key ResponsibilitiesOffice Support and Administration
- Assist in the smooth functioning of the administrative office.
- Deliver files, documents, letters, and official communications within and outside the centre as required.
- Support staff in photocopying, scanning, printing, filing, and document management.
- Arrange and organize files, registers, and office records.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records of office supplies and stationery.
- Ensure availability of basic office materials and report shortages to the administration.
Facility and Office Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of office areas, meeting rooms, and common administrative spaces.
- Arrange furniture and seating for meetings, trainings, workshops, and events.
- Ensure proper upkeep of office equipment and report any damage or maintenance requirements.
- Assist in the safe storage of organizational materials and supplies.
Visitor and Front Office Support
- Welcome visitors and guide them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist guests, stakeholders, and beneficiaries visiting the centre.
- Support reception-related tasks whenever required.
- Help in managing meeting arrangements and hospitality services.
Logistics and Event Support
- Assist in organizing workshops, trainings, awareness programs, meetings, and special events.
- Support transportation and movement of materials during organizational activities.
- Help in setting up venues and arranging materials for various programs.
Documentation and Record Handling
- Ensure safe movement and delivery of official documents.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling administrative records and files.
- Support record management and document archiving activities.
Additional Duties
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Centre Coordinator or Administrative Officer in support of centre operations.
- Assist different departments during peak workload periods and special activities.
Required QualificationsEssential
- Minimum 8th Pass.
- Ability to read and write basic Hindi.
- Physically fit and capable of handling routine office support tasks.
Preferred
- 10th Pass or above.
- Previous experience in office support, housekeeping, or administrative assistance.
- Experience working in educational institutions, NGOs, residential facilities, or social sector organizations.
Experience Requirements
- Freshers may apply.
- Prior experience in a similar role will be preferred.

Safeguarding and Child Protection
The Peon shall adhere to Saksham's Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Policy, and Disability Inclusion Guidelines. Any concerns related to safety, abuse, neglect, or misconduct involving beneficiaries must be immediately reported through established reporting mechanisms.
