Job Description: Area Sales Officer (ASO) – Jorhat & Central-East Corridor

Location: Jorhat, Assam & Surrounding Feeder Markets (Majuli, Golaghat)

The "Market Creator" Mission

We are looking for an ambitious, highly resourceful Area Sales Officer (ASO) to crack open and build the Jorhat territory and its surrounding high-potential trade corridors completely from scratch. This role requires a hands-on builder who thrives away from comfort zones. You will walk unmapped markets, convince traditional shop owners to experiment with new brands, appoint your own local stockists, and single-handedly ignite consumer demand for Bitly hygiene essentials, Tara's breakfast lines, Himalayan Heat multigrain snacks, and Cool It beverages in an entirely virgin operational zone.

Core Responsibilities & Autonomous Execution

Ground-Up Market Penetration: Walk the commercial streets and local bazaars of Jorhat and nearby trade points to map out and cold-pitch every prospective retail grocery, chemist, and general merchant counter.
Independent Stockist Development: Identify, pitch, and sign up local wholesale traders and stockists who have never partnered with us, securing initial primary bulk orders to anchor your supply chain.
Direct Retail Conversion: Drive on-the-spot merchant conversions through persuasive product pitching and live samples, turning resistant shopkeepers into regular weekly buyers.
Self-Managed Route & Beat Planning: Design your own aggressive daily travel schedules to maximize retail store coverage across Jorhat city and adjoining semi-urban pockets.
Digital Field Tracking: Log every self-acquired order, map new store locations, and track your daily conversion pipeline directly through the company’s mobile sales app.
Revenue Accountability: Take full ownership of your territory's primary and secondary sales figures, providing direct, transparent weekly performance metrics to leadership.

Candidate Specifications & Qualifications

Experience Profile: 1 to 4 years of hands-on field sales experience focusing on cold-calling, brand introduction, territory building, or retail expansion within the FMCG or packaged foods domain.
Educational Background: Higher Secondary (10+2) or Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
Critical Skills: Unbreakable persistence, strong persuasive negotiation abilities, and fluent verbal command of Assamese, English, Bengali, and Hindi.
Mobility & Logistics: Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license and be fully prepared for rigorous daily outdoor travel across Jorhat and regional transit corridors.

Pay: ₹19,955.36 - ₹29,991.92 per month
