Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a range of tools and equipment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing infrastructure and determine appropriate solutions.
Measure and cut materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fitting of components.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repairs.
Assist with assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems as required.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks on-site.
Collaborate with team members or clients to ensure project requirements are met within designated timelines.

Experience

Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance is essential.
Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is desirable.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly procedures within a mechanical context is required.
Experience working with commercial or industrial plumbing systems is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills will support accurate measurements and problem-solving.
Ability to operate heavy machinery or perform heavy lifting safely is necessary.
Previous experience in carpentry or working with building materials can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
