The Opportunity:
UST is looking for Python Automation framework Developer.
Job Requirements
Software Design & Architecture
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns (creational, structural, behavioral).
- Ability to design modular, maintainable, and scalable systems.
Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in: Python
- Familiarity with advanced language features and best practices.
- Nice to Have: Experience in Powershell, YAML, C++, Rust
Toolchain & Packaging
- Git, Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code
- Hands-on experience with modern Python packaging tools (e.g., Poetry, uv).
- Knowledge of semantic versioning, lock files, and dependency pinning for reproducible builds.
- Experience with virtual environments and multi-version compatibility strategies.
Release Engineering
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) for packaging and release automation.
- Ability to implement validation gates, automated unit/integration tests, and branching strategies with governance for API changes.
Embedded Systems & Communication Protocols
- Exposure to embedded systems development and debugging.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Serial (UART) and SSH.
- Experience using libraries like Paramiko for secure remote operations.
Infrastructure & Deployment
- Understanding of Python acquisition and installation strategies across platforms (Windows/Linux).
- Ability to integrate packaging and release workflows into enterprise environments securely.
Security & Compliance
- Awareness of secure coding practices and compliance requirements during packaging and release.
- Ability to mitigate risks related to sensitive data in logs and build artifacts.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Curious to learn with a growth mindset, continuously seeking ways to improve
- Understand the needs of customers and deliver to expectations, always seeking to provide positive customer experience
- Take ownership of decisions, actions, and results, holding accountability for deliverables and commitments
Qualification:
BTech in ECE/Computer Science 5+ Years of experience
