Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Faculty member to deliver high-quality training and academic support for students pursuing the Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities

Deliver lectures and training sessions in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transportation Management, Import & Export Procedures, and related subjects.
Develop lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with the curriculum.
Conduct practical sessions, workshops, case studies, and industry-oriented training programs.
Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, presentations, and projects.
Maintain academic records, attendance, and student progress reports.

Student Development

Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.
Provide support for projects, internships, and industry-based assignments.
Prepare students for interviews and placement opportunities.
Conduct soft skills and professional development sessions as required.

Industry & Placement Support

Maintain awareness of current industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Coordinate with the Placement Department for internship and placement activities.
Facilitate industry visits, guest lectures, seminars, and workshops.
Build relationships with logistics companies and industry professionals for student engagement initiatives.

Administrative Responsibilities

Participate in curriculum planning and academic meetings.
Assist in admissions counselling and student orientation programs when required.
Prepare reports and documentation related to academic activities.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and academic standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Prior teaching, training, or industry experience in logistics and supply chain operations is preferred.

Skills Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong presentation and classroom management skills.
Sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain management concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning platforms.
Ability to motivate, mentor, and engage students effectively.

Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of teaching, training, or relevant industry experience preferred.
