Job Summary
The Commodity Trader will be responsible for executing client trade orders efficiently within the commodity segment, monitoring global and domestic market trends, and providing timely communication and guidance to clients during the evening trading sessions. The role involves maintaining long-term client relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting clients with research-based advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute commodity and commodity derivatives trade orders on behalf of clients with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor domestic (MCX/NCDEX) and global commodity market movements, providing real-time updates to clients regarding their trading positions.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure high customer retention and support business growth.
- Ensure all trading activities and processes comply strictly with internal policies, risk standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Address client queries promptly and provide appropriate trading solutions.
- Communicate regular updates and evening session reports to the immediate supervisor as required.
- Provide clients with actionable insights and trading recommendations based on commodity research reports and global macroeconomic analysis.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong interest in and understanding of commodity markets (bullion, energy, base metals) and related financial instruments.
- Basic awareness of global economic indicators, geopolitical events, and US market openings that influence evening commodity price movements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client-centric approach.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively during high-volatility evening trading windows.
- An analytical mindset and a strong willingness to learn evolving market dynamics.
- High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail to minimize execution errors.
