Position : District Project Coordinator

About the Role
Sarojini Foundation is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented District Project Coordinator to lead and manage multiple Skill Development Centers in Angul district. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project implementation including mobilization, training operations, assessments, placements, compliance management, team supervision, and stakeholder coordination.
The role requires strong leadership, operational management, reporting, and coordination skills to ensure successful execution of government and CSR-funded skill development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Operations & Center Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all Skill Development Centers in the district.
- Ensure smooth execution of training programs as per project guidelines and timelines.
- Monitor infrastructure, training schedules, attendance, and resource utilization.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of center records.
2. Team Management
- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 staff members including trainers, mobilizers, placement officers, MIS personnel, and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and capacity-building sessions.
- Ensure target-oriented execution and accountability across all departments.
3. Mobilization & Candidate Enrollment
- Plan and monitor mobilization activities in rural and urban areas.
- Coordinate with communities, Panchayats, schools, colleges, NGOs, and local stakeholders for candidate mobilization.
- Ensure achievement of enrollment targets with quality candidate selection.
4. Training Management
- Monitor training quality, trainer performance, and student engagement.
- Ensure adherence to curriculum, NSQF standards, and project SOPs.
- Conduct periodic classroom observations and training audits.
5. Assessment, Certification & Placement
- Coordinate assessments with Sector Skill Councils and assessment agencies.
- Ensure timely certification of candidates.
- Develop employer partnerships and placement opportunities.
- Track placement performance and maintain placement records.
- Ensure post-placement tracking and retention support.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines, government norms, donor requirements, and audit standards.
- Maintain accurate MIS reports, attendance records, placement data, and financial/utilization records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
7. Stakeholder & Government Coordination
- Liaise with district administration, government departments, CSR partners, Sector Skill Councils, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in district-level meetings and review sessions.
8. Performance Monitoring
- Monitor project KPIs including:
- Enrollment targets
- Training completion
- Certification percentage
- Placement percentage
- Retention rates
- Center performance
- Implement corrective action plans for underperforming centers or teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, Education, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience Required
- 4–8 years of experience in Skill Development, Livelihood, CSR, NGO, or Training Projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in team handling and project coordination.
- Experience in government skill development schemes such as PMKVY, DDU-GKY, NULM, OSDA, CSR projects, or similar programs will be preferred.

- Proficiency in MS Office, MIS reporting, and documentation.
