Job Description: CBSE School Principal

Job Title: Principal

Location: Narayana Etechno school, Pollachi

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

Provide vision and leadership for teaching and learning.
Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum and policies.
Monitor academic performance and improve student outcomes.
Promote innovative teaching methods and continuous professional development.

2. School Administration

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school.
Ensure compliance with CBSE affiliation bylaws and government regulations.
Develop and implement school policies and procedures.
Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and annual plans.

3. Staff Management

Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
Conduct performance appraisals and recommend training programs.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

4. Student Welfare

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and disciplined school environment.
Promote students' academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Address student grievances and disciplinary matters fairly.

5. Parent and Community Relations

Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication.
Organize parent-teacher meetings and community engagement activities.
Represent the school in educational forums and public events.

6. Financial and Resource Management

Assist in budget preparation and resource allocation.
Ensure efficient utilization of school infrastructure and facilities.
Monitor procurement and maintenance of school resources.

7. Compliance and Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to CBSE affiliation requirements, safety norms, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate school inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.
Maintain accurate school records and documentation.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification recognized by the appropriate authority.
Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership or administrative role (or as prescribed by the school and applicable regulations).
Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, and educational policies.
