About the Role
We are building technology systems for manufacturing and recycling companies — starting with ERP and process digitisation, then adding "Smart MIS, analytics and AI-driven decision support".
We are looking for a smart, confident and business-curious fresher/intern who can become the first point of contact between us and potential customers.
This is not a typical telecalling job.
You will speak with business owners, directors, plant heads and senior managers of manufacturing and recycling companies, understand how their businesses operate, identify potential problems around ERP, reporting, production, inventory and decision-making, and take qualified opportunities forward to a product/demo discussion.
Your job is to make sure that qualified prospects reach our Co-Founder with a genuine business requirement and a scheduled demo.
What You Will Own1. Prospect Research
You will work with a large, pre-built database of manufacturing and metal-recycling companies across India.
Your work will include:
· Understanding the company before approaching them
· Identifying the right person to speak with
· Understanding their industry and manufacturing activity
· Preparing a simple reason for why our solution may be relevant
2. Initial Outreach
Connect with prospects through:
· Phone calls
· WhatsApp
· Email
· LinkedIn where relevant
The objective is not to blindly pitch software.
The objective is to start a relevant business conversation.
3. Business Qualification
You will learn to ask questions such as:
· How are your production and operational processes currently managed?
· Are you using ERP, Excel, Tally or a combination?
· How is management reporting currently prepared?
· How do you monitor production, inventory, purchases and sales?
· How much manual work goes into MIS/reporting?
· Are different departments working on separate systems?
· Are there reporting or visibility gaps for management?
You will determine:
Is this company a genuine fit for us?
4. Follow-ups & Nurturing
Once a prospect shows interest, you will own the follow-up.
This includes:
· Sending requested information
· Sharing company/profile material
· Sharing relevant case studies
· Coordinating demo schedules
· Following up after conversations
· Maintaining accurate CRM/status updates
· Ensuring interested prospects do not get lost
5. Demo Booking
Your most important KPI is:
Qualified Demo Meetings Booked
A successful handover means the prospect has:
· Genuine business relevance
· A meaningful operational problem or improvement opportunity
· Decision-maker / relevant stakeholder involvement
· Interest in seeing the solution
· A scheduled demo
Once that happens, the Co-Founder takes over for the demo and closing process.

· Do not want sales or customer interaction experience

Your performance will primarily be measured on:
Quality of conversations
Qualified prospects generated
Follow-up discipline
Demo meetings booked
Demo-to-opportunity quality
We care more about qualified meetings than simply making a large number of calls.
Typical Daily Work
A typical day could include:
Research → Call → Understand → Qualify → Follow-up → Share information → Schedule Demo → Update CRM

Compensation
Internship: ₹5,000+/month depending on capability and experience
Performance Incentives: Additional incentives linked to qualified demos / successful outcomes
Fresher conversion: Opportunity for a full-time Business Development role based on performance.
