What You'll Do
In a world where data is critical to BCG's success, we are building first-class, foundational capabilities and products across the firm. Within this vision, LEAP is delivering BCG's new Learning platform to power the firm's learning and development needs.
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Configuration Squad. In this role you will analyse the work required to stand up and evolve BCG's new Learning platform, translate business and functional needs into clear requirements, and make the changes directly in the new system. You will communicate closely with stakeholders across the business, functional subject matter experts, and IT colleagues, alongside your Product Owner, Chapter Leads, and squad members, supporting both day-to-day operations and transformative change.
Your key responsibilities will include:
-
Analyse the work required for BCG's new Learning platform and translate business and functional needs into clear, actionable requirements.
-
Configure changes directly in the new Learning platform, owning hands-on system configuration for the squad.
-
Elicit, document, and validate requirements by engaging multiple stakeholder groups and subject matter experts.
-
Write clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria understandable by both technical and functional colleagues.
-
Create, update, and maintain requirements documentation (e.g., PRDs / functional specifications).
-
Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, anticipating questions and translating technical details into plain language.
-
Develop and execute test plans (functional, integration, and user acceptance testing) to validate configured changes.
-
Manage and triage support requests in a query management system (e.g., ServiceNow).
-
Work within an Agile framework, actively participating in sprints and ceremonies, and owning your area of the backlog.
-
Proactively flag risks and dependencies, keeping learner impact and business value as the priority.
What You'll Bring
Education
-
Bachelor's degree required.
-
5–8 years of experience as a business / systems analyst, ideally supporting or configuring enterprise applications.
Experience / Knowledge
-
Experience in the Learning domain/technology preferred; HR tech/domain acceptable.
-
Hands-on experience configuring SaaS / enterprise platforms and making changes directly in the system.
-
Experience engaging with multiple stakeholder groups to gather complex business requirements.
-
Experience working within Agile structures/sprints, writing Agile user stories, and using Jira.
-
Experience developing and executing test plans and strategies for system-level testing (functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing).
-
Experience managing support requests in a user query management system, like ServiceNow.
-
Experience with data analysis in Excel or AI tools; reading/writing SQL queries and analysing data in Snowflake is a plus.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Who You'll Work With
The Business Analyst is a role within the Configuration Squad, part of LEAP in BCG's digital products organisation. Reporting to the IT Director, you will work day-to-day with your Product Owner, Chapter Leads, Scrum Master, and squad members, as well as functional business partners, subject matter experts, and IT colleagues. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse, configure, and evolve BCG's new Learning platform, supporting both day-to-day operations and transformative change.
