Full job description

Job Purpose / Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Data Analyst to join our growth division. In this role, you will go beyond simple data extraction to transform raw information from international trade databases and global market reports into actionable business intelligence.

The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, evaluate global FMCG demand patterns, benchmark competitor pricing, and build data-driven dashboards. Your insights will directly influence our international product placement, pricing frameworks, and export strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Analyze complex datasets from global import-export portals, customs databases, and international trade directories to identify high-potential countries and demand trends for our FMCG lines.
Competitor Benchmarking: Collect, evaluate, and track competitor price matrices, international packaging styles, and distribution patterns across regional markets (e.g., UAE, GCC, South-East Asia).
Data Harmonization & Cleaning: Structure, scrub, and validate massive historical sales and market lead sheets to ensure high data integrity and accuracy across all organizational analytics.
Dashboarding & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain performance dashboards and visualization models (using Excel, Power BI, or Google Looker Studio) to track operational KPIs for executive management review.
Predictive Insights: Evaluate supply chain data and pricing fluctuations of agricultural commodities to forecast future procurement costs and export profitability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
Experience: 2–4 years of proven professional experience working as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Market Intelligence Executive (Prior experience in FMCG, Export-Import, or Logistics sectors is highly preferred).
Technical Skills:
Advanced command over Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (Complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query).
Strong proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio.
Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases is a strong advantage.
Analytical Abilities: Strong critical thinking to interpret data anomalies, identify operational gaps, and present structured recommendations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to present analytical findings clearly to senior management.
